There are a variety of sets to choose from to add more detail to the main train set. Train tables, additional wood tracks to create a larger railway, and items to create even more imagination, such as a fueling station are all sold separately to add to the TOMY set.

Although the TOMY Chuggington railway is compatible to the Thomas train tracks, due to the size of the Chuggington engines, they don’t fit through the Thomas tunnels or bridges. One main difference from this set and the Thomas set, is that the TOMY engines have a great attention to detail, but are made of plastic so there is a tendency to fade or show signs of damage with continuous play.

Overall though, the TOMY Chuggington set is affordable and large enough for tiny hands to maneuver. It is a great train set and worth buying for your child.
